A new call to action
A sitemap is usually an XML file, adapted to the rules of this language. In its basic version, it contains elements such as the URL address , last modification date, and crawl priority. The latter parameter determines how often we want Googlebots to visit a given subpage. For addresses that you update frequently, it is worth giving a higher priority, and subpages that are rarely refreshed should have a lower one.

Another type is an HTML sitemap as a list of links to subpages, organized by category or other criteria. This type of table of contents is often placed as a link in the footer of the page. It supports internal linking for subpages that are located further down in the site hierarchy.
