The first thing is to think about the importance we give to the information we store and how quickly we update it to establish the frequency with which we will make the copies. Next, we will look for the best support to make them, opting whenever possible for external storage devices , such as USB drives or external hard drives, which will help us both to protect our information and to leave space on our devices for the new information we save. There is also the option of using cloud storage services for which we should know in advance their advantages, such as having the information at any time and from any device without filling the memory of our devices; but also their risks, the information is not under our control and some failure or vulnerability of the chosen service can affect the availability of our data.
