WhatsApp is the 3rd most popular social network in the world and ranks first among the most popular messaging apps. We are talking about an application that practically replaces traditional SMS messages, which have been in decline for several years.

Currently, WhatsApp is the means by which friends, family, colleagues and even cambodia telegram mobile phone number list companies communicate with their customers thanks to the customer service channels they use WhatsApp Business , the business version of the messaging app, which is now owned by Facebook.

With the help of WhatsApp, it was also possible to overcome borders and regional barriers. Thanks to this application, two people who are in opposite parts of the world can now communicate with each other perfectly normally. However, WhatsApp still doesn't have a way to translate messages directly in the app without using third-party apps. Therefore, in this guide, we explain two alternatives to easily translate WhatsApp messages on Android and iPhone .

How to translate WhatsApp messages on Android and iPhone
With so many countries where this messaging app is available, two people who don't speak the same language can easily talk through it. However, these people will not be able to communicate without the help of a translator, and as of today, WA does not offer any official feature to translate messages and conversations on its messaging platform without the use of external or third-party applications.

But this is not really a problem, as there are still quite effective alternatives for translating messages in WA, both when sending and receiving them, thanks to programs such as Gboard or Google Translate. So, if you want to know how I take advantage of these apps to translate WhatsApp messages and chats on Android and iPhone, you just need to keep reading this post.

Translate with Gboard
Google's keyboard app, Gboard, has an interface for translating text as you type.

The first feature we are going to see is the translation of a message before it is sent. In this case, the functionality becomes available to us through the keyboard application Gboard , which has a built-in translation function that, as we already know, works thanks to Google Translate.

To perform this method, you must have Gboard set as your primary keyboard. To check if this is the case, go to Settings and search for " Language and keyboard " in the search bar. Select the result that best matches you. You will be able to view and change the keyboard that the phone is currently using.

After making sure you're using the Gboard keyboard, do this to send a translated message:

Sign in to any chat where you want to send a translated message.
Tap the bottom input bar to start typing.
Tap the 3 horizontal dots at the top of the keyboard to see more options.

Type text in the line above the keyboard and let the program translate it.

Enable touch to translate
Google Translate's Tap to Translate feature lets you translate text in any app.

On the other hand, there is also the trick of translating the messages that come into our WhatsApp chats. This is thanks to the Tap to Translate feature with Google Translate. Tap to translate is a feature that allows you to use the translator in any application, such as WhatsApp, to quickly translate texts and interface messages.

To enable this feature on your mobile phone, you must first:

download Google Translate from the Play Store or App Store if you haven't already.
Open the program.
Tap your profile picture in the top right corner of the screen.
select Settings > Click to translate .
Enable each of the three available options.
Now that you've enabled Tap to Translate, you'll see a floating button with a Google Translate icon. Enter any WhatsApp chat and tap and hold the message you want to translate. Then click on Point 3 located in the upper right corner of the screen and select Copy . Finally, enter the translator by clicking on the floating button. The message will be automatically copied to the translator and you will be able to see its translation below.
