The objective of this project was to automate processes ( RPA ) by processing data obtained from a test bench, performing the calculation and graphing the desired results from the input data that our client obtained when performing their tests.
These tests were carried out within list of bahamas consumer email projects that were developed in the client's own facilities, so it was a 100% internal process that limited the delivery time of the projects.

PROJECT IMPLEMENTATION
After detecting a bottleneck in the development of our client's projects, measures were taken to resolve it.
Initially, only two tests were carried out per week due to the time required to perform calculations and graphs using Excel, which required 2 hours per test treated.
The tests take about 5 hours to develop (including the time for start-up and extraction of data to be processed). The idea was that through automation the results could be obtained in just a few seconds, so there would be no problem for the employee to analyse 5 tests a week, increasing the delivery time of this phase of the projects by 60% .
The project was developed in the following phases:
Requirements gathering.
Processing of the data collected.
Graph the calculated information.
Implementation and training.
Requirements gathering
The first thing we needed was to know what our client's employee had been doing up until now in order to automate it. The tasks he performed were:

Extract the data obtained from the tests, these came in CSV format .
This CSV was opened and processed in Excel. Once opened, formats were modified and calculations were performed to obtain results from the data available.
Finally, the information was organized using dynamic tables and then graphed .
Once the graphs are available, the task that really adds value begins: the analysis of the results for appropriate decision-making that will allow the project to progress properly.
As you can see, steps 2 and 3 are the ones that need to be automated, since that is where the 2 hours we mentioned at the beginning are consumed. Knowing this, we took all the information regarding the calculations to be performed and what had to be represented in graphics as the final result in order to begin developing the desktop application.
Processing of data taken from the test bench
The test bench does not return the final results data that we needed. For this reason, a series of calculations need to be performed with the available data in order to be able to show these variables in the graphs and to be able to make the relevant decisions.
To obtain these calculations and the desired format changes, you will only have to upload the CSV into the application and, without doing anything else, you will obtain those desired values. In the next section you will see it with your own eyes.
Graphing the calculated information
The development has been planned in such a way that the graph will be drawn directly by dragging the CSV onto the application screen (hereinafter GRID). The implemented menu items will be explained together with the software functionalities.
