Don't you have a blog? Are you struggling to get it up and running? Don't you know how to attract readers to your posts? Do you lack programming or web design skills? Have no idea about search engine optimization, let alone web usability?
But you've been told, you've heard, you've already seen... That having your own blog or website is one of the pillars of personal branding , right?
So what?
We've previously discussed on this blog how to build a perfect LinkedIn profile , how to build a strong network of contacts on LinkedIn, and what mistakes to avoid on this social network.
But any LinkedIn user can also write long articles or comments from their own profile . Simply go to your homepage and select "Write an article" from the content sharing options offered by LinkedIn (it will appear next to the option to share an image).
If this option isn't available, here's a trick: b2b email list change your profile's language setting to English. The post publishing tool will be activated immediately, with the "Write an article" option. Articles you publish on LinkedIn will be reflected in your activity feed and will also appear in the "Posts" section of your profile.
If you already have your own blog, LinkedIn will serve as a complementary avenue for publishing articles (not a substitute: don't give up on your blog). If you don't have one, on LinkedIn you can start generating posts with a single click, and with no word limit. These articles are also indexed and rank highly in Google search results. The more posts you publish, the more credibility you'll gain and the stronger your professional profile will be.
