End of the story
That Christmas Eve Ramón enjoyed in a very special way. He felt that something had changed inside him, that a spark of hope that had been extinguished for a long time had awakened again. He had dinner at his sister's house, sang Christmas carols and played with his nephews until late.

The next day, already at the office, Ramón called Iván, the sales manager, to his office.

"Hi Ramón. Did you want to see me?" Ivan was still a bit annoyed by the last conversation and his way of speaking was noticeable with apathy and reluctance.

“Yes, Ivan,” said Ramon. “The first thing I want to do is apologize to you. I don’t want to make excuses, but I’ve been acting like a real jerk lately. I know you’ve been working hard and I haven’t made it easy for you, but I’m determined to change, and I want you to support me in this task.”

Ivan couldn't believe what he was hearing. Ramón apologizing? It must have been a joke.

«I don't know what's happened, Ramon, but I'm not in the mood for one-day inventions. My last conversation filled my glass and I want you to know that I'm seriously thinking about leaving Compuware.»

Ramon didn't seem very surprised. "I understand you, and to show you that I'm serious, the first thing I'll do is recognize your work by appointing you marketing director of the company. We'll review your salary and discuss an appropriate budget for your department this week."

Ivan wanted to believe Ramon, but he had already had many disappointments in the company.

"That's all very well, but it won't help with your way of thinking and your attitude towards the staff and the clients. Changing is not so easy, Ramon."

“I know, and that is why I want you to help me lead this change,” Ramón replied. “And so that you can see that I am very serious, I want you to know that on Friday I was with Alicia from Clientalia and I have committed to giving her technical and financial support so that she can adapt her systems and launch the new website that she so badly needs.”
